Welcome to the Manx Amateur Drama Federation website
On this site are details of past and future Manx amateur drama events held on the Isle of Man. Each year we hold the Easter Festival of Plays, The Festival of One Act Plays and the Young Actor of Mann. Each festival is judged by GoDa Adudicators and awards are given for Best Play, Best Director and many others.
Some of you have been coming to our festivals for many years, and we hope that many of you have enjoyed the friendly and enthusiastic feel that makes drama such a wonderful creative medium to be involved in.
This year we have had the added benefit of an extra festival - The NDFA All-Winners Festival that was held at the end of July 2008. It was a wonderful week full of the best amateur drama from around the British Isles. We also had two drama workshops with Tony Rushworth GoDa and an Evening With Sir Derek Jacobi, who also presented the awards to the winners of the festival.
Our Festivals are held in high regard across the British Isles. This has been achieved by the hard work of a dedicated team of organisers, generous donations by our sponsors and the companies who have advertised in our programmes.
We are extremely grateful to all those companies and individuals who have contributed to the continuing success of our festivals of plays, not only in monetary terms, but also in the giving of their time and commitment, We thank you all.
